Carole Jean Kirwan, 87, of Ivesdale, IL., passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:44 A.M., at her residence in Ivesdale, IL.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ivesdale. Father Patrick O'Neal and Deacon Jim Brewer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ivesdale. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Carole was born on September 15, 1937, in Monticello, IL., a daughter of Clarence and Beulah Webb Blacker. She married Hiram Thomas Kirwan on September 25, 1954 in Monticello, IL., they were married for 70 years, and he survives of Ivesdale. Surviving are 2 daughters; Cynthia Lawson and Pamela Bailey, both of Ivesdale, also surviving are 4 grandchildren; Sarah Lawson, Courtney Lawson, Paige (Nathan) Rhodes and Faith Bailey, as well as great-grandchildren; Sam Dalton and Rylan Rhodes. She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Thomas E. Kirwan, Jr., brother; Gerald Blacker and 3 sisters; Marilyn Morrow, Norma K. Davis and Connie Webber.
Carole was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ivesdale, the Alter and Rosary Society, Women's Club, Champaign County Election Judge, Farm Bureau, and she cherished spending time with her family and took great joy in being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
