Catherine J. Burtle

Catherine J. Burtle, 87, of Monticello, IL., passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 4:38 A.M., at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, IL.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Monticello, IL. Monsignor Michael Bliss will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium in the Monticello Township Cemetery. 

Catherine was born on April 8, 1937, in Glenarm, IL., a daughter of Ralph and Mildred Zucksworth Burtle. Surviving are 3 daughters: Brenda Pichon of Monticello, IL., Tina (Tom) Tamberini and Mary (Darryl) Lewis, both of Indiana., 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters; Susan Timko of Roscoe, IL., and Nancy Luefchen of Springfield, IL.. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter; Cindy J. Knowles.

Catherine was a proud member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Monticello, she loved gardening and was a seamstress. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
