Donna was born on January 3, 1936 to Frank and Mona (Morton) Smith in Bovina, Tx. She grew up in Bovina where she was the drum major in the band, played basketball, and took piano lessons for many years.

Donna was an avid sports fan. She met her husband, Billy Malcom while playing softball on a local softball team. They were married on January 25, 1956 and eventually settled in Tulia, Tx, where they raised five children. They attended the Calvary Baptist Churches and First Baptist in Tulia.

Donna attended West Texas A&M University as a returning student. In her last semester there, she gave birth to her fifth child while still managing to make a 4.0 and the Dean's List. She then touched many lives as a 4th grade teacher at Tulia's Swinburn Elementary, teaching for 22 years.

After retiring, Donna enjoyed playing golf every afternoon with a group of ladies and Tule Lake Golf Course. She was an excellent golfer and enjoyed playing in area tournaments with other Tulia women whom she built strong friendships with through the years.

After living in Tulia for over 40 years, she and her husband, Billy, moved to Ponder, Tx. in 2004. They continued to follow their grandchildren in various sporting events and attended Ponder Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother and sister-in-law; Charles Don and Clarice Smith, and brother Paul Smith.
