Kristopher Lee Lust, 42, of Hammond, IL., passed away at 8:45 A.M., on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Hinds Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, IL.. Private burial will be in the Hammond Township Cemetery, Hammond, IL., at a later date.. Memorial contributions can be made to Heather Jeffries to assist with on going expenses.
Kristopher was born on October 2, 1982, in Decatur, IL., a son of Herbert and Cheryl York Lust, Jr.
Kristopher was known for his overly friendly nature and gift for conversation. Kristopher brought energy, laughter, and warmth into every room he entered. He never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel instantly at ease. He lived a life full of heart, humor and connection. He found joy in hard work and took pride in everything he did. He loved being around people – whether it was sharing a cold Coors Light with his best friends, Daniel Larson and Jed Rohr, or cracking jokes and teasing his daughter in that playful way only he could.
Kris was the kind of person who made everyday memorable. He had a sharp sense of humor, and contagious laugh, and a deep love for his family and friends. His girls (Heather and Kelsey) were the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to make them laugh – even if it was at their expense. Kristopher will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and the way he made people feel like they mattered. Kristopher's absence leaves a space that can't be filled, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
Kristopher is survived by the loves of his life – Heather Jeffries and his beloved daughter Kelsey Lust both of Hammond, IL., along with his sister Jennifer Ellis, (Matthew and their daughter Brinley) of Bement, IL., and a wide circle of friends who miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
