Loren Bowen Obituary

Loren Ray Bowen, 82 of Bement, IL., passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at home.

Loren was born on November 17, 1940, the son of the late Loren F. and Fleta E. (Plummer) Bowen. He married the late Carol Ann Sablotny on May 17, 1964 in Decatur, IL. Surviving children include Lori (Bradley) Bowen Tillock of O'Fallon and Loren Patrick (Carla Hunter) Bowen of Bement. He is also survived by his sister Helen (Ralph) Marx of Wickenburg, AZ.

There will be a private family burial. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Karla Smith Behavioral Health in O'Fallon, the Carol Bowen Scholarship of the Illinois Rural Letter Carriers Association or the Bement Public Library.
