Mary Jones

Mary Jones, 90, of Joliet, IL., passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 8:00 A.M., at Renwick Nursing and Rehab Center, Joliet, IL.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation rites will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mary was born on November 26, 1933 in Green County, Kentucky, a daughter of Otis and Maggie Marie Horn Bishop. She married Merle Patrick Kirkham on November 13, 1953 and he passed away in 1989. Surviving are two daughters; Vicki “Kirkham” Poundstone of Bement, IL., Cathy “Kirkham” Womack of Braidwood, IL.. Also surviving is a granddaughter: Danielle (Mike) Esposito, 2 great-grandchildren; Ethan Godar and Khiah (T.J.), and a great-great-granddaughter, as well as a sister; Sue Jupin of Forrest, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son; Michael Kirkham and 6 siblings.

Mary enjoyed playing cards, laughing and most of all spending time with family.
