Michael Shott Obituary

Michael W. Shott, 74, of Bement, IL., passed away at 3:05 A.M., on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Urbana, IL.

Services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites for the Navy veteran have been accorded.

Michael was born on June 25, 1949, in Champaign, IL., a son of Wylie “Buck” and Edna Hanshaw Shott. He married Nancy Guffey on September 3, 1993 in Monticello, IL., and she survives of Bement. Surviving children are; Sherri, Troy and Wendi. Also surviving is a brother; Stephen Shott. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael worked for General Cable in Monticello, IL., for over 30 years and he loved to fish.
