Nicholas "Nick" Shelton

Nicholas “Nick” Aaron Shelton, 53, of Bement, IL., passed away at 5:31 A.M., on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his residence in Bement.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 1:00 P.M., at the Hinds Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bement High School Industrial Arts Department.

Nick was born on July 19, 1972, in Decatur, IL., a son of Michael A. and Mary V. Pruitt Shelton. He is survived by his mother; sister; Amy (Loren) Dresback of Oakley, IL., 2 nephews; James (Yadira) McDermith of Bement, and Wesley (Sadie) McDermith of Cerro Gordo, 2 great-nephews; Mikey and J.J., and a special friend; Lissa Guffey. He was preceded in death by his father and daughter; Stephanie Marie Shelton.

Nick was a member of the Sheet Metal Union Local 218 for 26 years. He loved to fish, hunt, play pool and drive fast cars.
