Peyton T. Owen

Peyton T. Owen, 22, of Bement, IL., passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 8:45 P.M. , in rural Bement as a result of a automobile accident.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. To 7:00 P.M., on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Hinds Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 348 N. Piatt St., Bement, Illinois. Memorial contributions can be made to the Champaign County Humane Society.

Peyton was born on August 23, 2001, in Urbana, IL., a son of Tom Owen and Lori Morgan . Surviving is his mother; Lori (Kyle) Warnick of Urbana, father; Tom Owen of Bement., siblings; Cody (Sheena) Schwartz of Bement, IL., Dylan Schwartz of Champaign, IL., Hayden McCabe of Hammond, Kelsey and Connor Owen both of Bement, IL., great-grandparents; Roseann Morgan of Champaign, Maurine Strack of Ivesdale, grandparents; Michael and Pat Morgan of Bement, Debbie and Dusty “Duff” Henson of Bement, Pat Warnick of Champaign. Also surviving are aunts; Lana (Brian) Morgan of Bement, Julie “Auntie” (Donnie) Owen Wisehart of Monticello, uncle; Clayton (Brittany) Owen of Monticello, along with 3 nieces, one nephew and many cousins who he considered siblings. Peyton was preceded in death by great-grandparents; Robert “grandpa Bob” Morgan, Ira and Hilda Riggs, Clifford E. Strack. Grandparents; James E. Owen, Betty L. Owen-Ferris, Thomas B. Owen, Richard “Dick” Warnick.

Pey loved his family and friends fiercely. He had unconditional love for so many people, never giving up on anyone. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed bonfires, fishing, skateboarding and video games. His contagious laugh and bright smile made it impossible to feel anything but happy around him. His goofy personality and big bear hugs will forever be remembered.
