R. Joanna Warner

Joanna Warner, 97, of Monticello, IL., formerly of Bement, IL., passed away at 12:55 P.M., on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello, IL.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M., on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bement, IL., 249 N. Macon St., Bement, IL. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M., on Saturday at the church. Rev. Marsha Frederick will officiate. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Bement.

Joanna was born on October 16, 1926,in Bement, IL., a daughter of Lester and Anna Lamb Warner. Surviving relatives are: John C. (Donna) Ahlrich of Morganton, N.C., and Bonnie (Michael) Wachter of DeLand, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother; Lester Warner.

Joanna worked for Solo Cup in Urbana, IL., for 20 plus years. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bement, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the choir, active Presbyterian Women, and served on session. She also was a member Eastern Star and Kirby Hospital Auxillary.
