Suzanne M. Allison, 80, of Bement, IL., passed away at 4:23 A.M., on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Bement Baptist Church, 748 S. Macon., Bement, IL., from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at Noon on Monday. Pastor Pat Tieman will officiate. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement, IL. Memorial contributions can be made to Bement Baptist Church.
Susie was born on November 8, 1943 in Monticello, IL., a daughter of Varney and Bessie Mae Cantrall Gadbury. She married Don Allison on July 22, 1964 in Lincoln, IL., and he passed away on December 14, 2002. Surviving children are; Sheila (Dan) Stevens of Camargo, IL., Scott (Tammy) Allison of Bement, IL., and Kevin Allison of Bement, IL. Surviving grandchildren are: Ashley (Jordan) Swaim, Hillary (Ryan) Gudgel, Samantha (Colton Birch) Stevens, Drew Allison, Bryan (Liz) Allison and Gregg Allison. Surviving great-grandchildren are: Ava Gudgel, Gregg Allison, Jr., Henry Gudgel, Stella Birch, Gregg Allison, Brenna Allison, Eli Allison, Kylan Allison, Sawyer Allison and Bentley McSchooler. Surviving siblings are: Jim (Marsha) Gadbury of Monticello, IL., Darrell (Deanna) Tieman of Bement, Bobby (Joanne) Tieman of Lodge, IL., and Pat (Tracy) Tieman of Bement. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers; Barney Gadbury, John Gadbury and son Greggory Paul Allison.
Susie loved antiquing, going to garage sales, finding rare coins, and she loved to sing. She loved gospel, blue grass music, Patsy Cline, the Gaithers and Elvis.
