Ted Brittenham

Ted R. Brittenham II, 36, of Bement, IL, passed away at 7:04 P.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M., on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the Bement Township Cemetery. The Rev. Marsha Frederick will officiate.

Ted was born on January 24, 1990, a son of Tony Brittenham and Michelle Gifford. Survivors are his father: Tony Brittenham of Bement, and at the age of 2, Ted and Michelle joined the Hodson family, when Michelle married Jeff Hodson, and they reside in Monticello. Also surviving is a sister; Cassidy (Lucas) Page of Monticello, Brother; Benjamin (Jenny) Hodson of Mahomet, Maternal grandmother; Joyce Gifford of Bement, Paternal Grandmother; Gloria Gulliford of Decatur and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ted was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Jesse Gifford, step-grandmother; Eileen Hodson, paternal grandfather; Tom Brittenham.

Ted graduated from Monticello High School, and Eastern Illinois University. He was a Chef, working for several differen't restaurants starting at Filippo's in Monticello, as well as Curtis Orchard and a sorority house at the University of Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, music especially Ed Sheeran, camping and he loved animals especially his cat, Lynx.
