Thomas Joseph Howard

Thomas J. Howard, 67, formerly of Pesotum, IL., passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 4:55 P.M., at the Aperion Care Center, Fairfield, IL.

Thomas was a graduate of Tolono Unity High School (Class of 1975), and was a avid Unity Rocket fan.

He worked for many years at Alloy Castings in Champaign and Cargill in Tuscola. He worked part-time for many years for the U of I at the sporting events. He worked as parking attendant, security, and ticket taker at Huff Hall, Assembly Hall and Memorial Stadium. He was a very proud ILLINI FAN! Thomas also was a volunteer for the Pesotum Fire Department for many years. Served as Fire Chief for a few years, and was also a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his sisters, Kay & Betty Howard, sister-in-law, Karen Howard, nephews, Robert (Alissa) Howard, Alan (Lindsay) Howard and Jon (Alicia) Howard. Tom has 5 great nephews, 1 great niece and cousin, Butch (Ella) Smith.

Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 12:30 P.M., at the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pesotum, IL.
